SMART2B

The capabilities of buildings to act as active components of the energy system can be enhanced by upgrading their levels of smartness. In this context, the EU-funded SMART2B project will upgrade the capacity of existing buildings by developing non-intrusive Internet of Things sensors and actuators to control equipment, while improving indoor comfort and energy efficiency. The project will allow for coordinated control of legacy equipment and smart appliances and integrate two existing cloud-based platforms into a single building management platform.
SMART2B will follow a user-centric approach that simplifies equipment and device control and delivers information about the total energy performance. The platform will enable the transition from passive buildings to active components of the energy system.
Project Consortium
The formed consortium has been shaped of sixteen (16) partners from eight (8) countries. The project combines different key players and organisation in order to ensure a multifarious cooperation.
