Dr. Iakovos Michailidis
Iakovos Theodorou Michailidis, was born in 27th of July 1986 in Ptolemaida, Kozani and grew up in Amindeo, a nearby small town located in northern Greece within the municipality of Florina.
He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Polytechnic School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in November 2010. During his undergraduate studies he worked on selective coordination of protective devices and short circuit analysis (IEC60909) on energy distribution networks within his diploma thesis.
He received his Ph.D. Diploma from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Polytechnic School in Democritus University of Thrace in April 2016. His main research interests during his post-graduate studies were related to Optimal & Adaptive Control In Large-Scale Sensor Networks.
He is currently conducting research in the area of Energy Efficient Building Climate Control. In addition, he is occupied with research areas related to Locally Linearized System Identification, Convex Control Design Transformations, Model Based and Model Free (adaptive) techniques for Efficient Control in Large Scale Systems and Distributed (Agent-Driven) Adaptive and Optimal Control in Cyber Physical systems.
