Calculating the optimal decisions that will balance energy, user needs and grid operational requirements is by no means an easy task. Through ConvCAO intelligent Energy Management System – iEMS, we aim to calculate control actions in real time problems, in order to balance energy needs, optimize renewable energy usage-distribution and satisfy end-user requirements and comfort.
ConvCAO i-EMS tool, aims to train itself and “learn” the controllable system through a learning process. Meanwhile, it produces and tests a series of proposed solutions, in this estimator of the real system, in order to choose the best one, which is going to be implemented in the real system for the next control horizon-period.
The produced solution, calculates control actions based on the current state of the system, like weather conditions, indoor conditions, occupancy schedules of the buildings or charging schedules of electric vehicles.
Its main advantage is that requires the minimum feedback and the minimum effort from the end-users, in the decision making. Furthermore, it does not neglect the preferences of the users and it is trying to find optimal decisions which aim both to energy savings and user satisfaction.
