Assoc. Prof. Lefteris Doitsidis

Dr. Doitsidis was born in Athens (1975). He received his diploma degree from the Production Engineering and Management Department of the Technical University of Crete, Chania, Greece, in 2000. In 2002 he was awarded his M.Sc. degree in Production Systems, Department of Production Engineering and Management, Technical University of Crete and in 2008 he received his Ph.D. from the same department.

From 2002 to June 2008 he was a researcher at the Intelligent Systems and Robotics Laboratory of the same department. From August 2003 to June 2004 he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of South Florida, FL, U.S.A, where he was a member of the Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue.

From 2004 until October 2010, he has been an adjunct faculty member at the Department of Electronic Engineering and at the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Technological Educational Institute of Crete (TEI) and starting from October 2010 he is a permanent faculty member currently at the position of Associate Professor. He is currently teaching several undergaduate courses and the graduate course of Intelligent Control at the Advanced Production Systems, Automation and Robotics graduate program of TEI.

Dr. Doitsidis has worked in numerous projects related with robotics and intelligent control. He has more than 40 publications in international journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems and serves as a reviewer for numerous journals and conferences.
