Dr. Georgios D. Karatzinis

Georgios D. Karatzinis holds a Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Automatic Control Systems in 2024 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace. He earned his Diploma in Electrical Engineering in 2016 and an M.Sc. in Automatic Control Systems and Robotics in 2018, both from the same institution.

Since 2019, he has been working as a Research Associate at the Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and from 2025 as a Post-Doc. His research focuses on Computational Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, and Machine Learning, with additional interests in Fault Detection and Diagnosis, Robotics, Reinforcement Learning and Energy Management Systems.
