Mr. Panagiotis Michailides

Dr. Panagiotis Michailidis is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) and Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH).

He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH).

His work focuses on artificial intelligence and advanced control systems, specializing in distributed and asynchronous machine learning. Relevant research applications concern scalable solutions for complex IoT ecosystems, including smart buildings, robotics, and traffic management frameworks. So far, he has participated in more than 18 European and national R&D projects (FP7, H2020, ESPA), as a member of the ConvCAO research group.
